With over 40 years of experience raising beef cattle on a farm that has been in the Butler family for six generations, we here at Glendale Farm strive to produce cattle that will meet the needs of the commercial cattleman at a reasonable price. We do not raise cattle for the show ring; our focus is producing quality cattle that will perform in the real world for the commercial operator.

Throughout our many years in the cattle business, we have seen fads come and go and have found that there are no shortcuts to success. We have also tried many different breeds of cattle down through the years before settling on the Red Angus and Gelbvieh breeds. We believe that these two red breeds complement each other with excellent growth and maternal traits, are uniquely suited to the Southeastern U. S. climate and, when crossbred, the resulting Balancer animals possess additional performance from hybrid vigor.
